I am writing on behalf of my mother.
She is currently suffering from the hell of Fibro. She was or had been
on Mirapex. It was a wonder drug for her for many years, she was on a
drug trial on it for quite awhile, and then started to have a lot of
problems with it. She started to develop a lot of OCD and compulsive
buying problems. She is now suffering from severe depression now. Have
any of you gone through this. Can any of you offer some words of
advice for me. Do you know what Drugs might be good for her to try at
this point. Her drs are not being of any help for her now, and she is
in constant pain.

I am sure it's hard to watch someone you love feel so crappy all the time
and feel so helpless if her current doctors aren't treating
her appropriately though, I would change doctors. Ask when calling to see
if they take new patients whether they treat fibromyalgia, that way she
doesn't waste time and money on one who doesn't. Mirapex is one of those
drugs kinda like neurotin. It either works great or it makes you nuts I
think. Different docs have different treatment approaches though, wouldn't
really matter what each of US are doing to keep our fibro at bay, plus most
of us have several health problems, not just the one so we're all on
different meds. I hope that you're able to find her a good doc
who will treat her fibro
