Question:
I am feeling better today and have been able to
eat. I have not taken the muscle relaxant for 3 days and am not so dizzy.
I had a feeling that this was the problem. As a pensioner in Australia I
get medicines very cheaply, except for digesic which is not on the "free"
list.
As soon as I can get to the doctor I will discuss going off most of my
pills. Not much seems to be known about fibro here, though my doctor is
helpful and gave me a printout which I already had.
Each time I go there I tell him that most of my pain is from the fibro, not
so much from ostio arthritis. I will have to continue with my diabetes
pills and diet, which are under control, and the mild blood pressure
pills, But I can probably stop the celebrex. I will continue digesic at
night, as it helps me to sleep. Because of the diabetes I have to get up to
the toilet a number of times in the night, it can't be helped!
Could you put me onto a support group on the internet ? I don't know of
one in OZ, never heard of one here. Thanks for your help,
Answer:
alt.med.fibromyalgia. Pretty decent group, but occasionally they have
their little "spats". Easy enough to bypass trouble makers. I've
learned alot about my fibro (and its treatment) from that group.
