Question:
Can anyone offer advice for an FM sufferer on an exercise program that
can be done at home? I need to trim up my legs and get a general keep
fit work-out without aggravating my fibromyalgia. I am willing to get
any necessary equipment, but I need some advice on the do's, dont's,
and any particular exercises that should be part of a program.
Answer:
II think it might be a good idea for you to consult a physical therapist
so that your current condition can be measured and monitored. Have s/he
set you up with a program that "steps-up" gradually so that you can
increase your flexibility, mobility and strength without any backsliding
into consternation and pain.
Previous recent threads here indicate that various water therapy programs
have helped a lot of folks.
It's important to remember that what works for some of us may cause a lot
of problems for others.
