Question:
My wife has a combination of connective tissue problems. Is there a list
of foods that might help with the pain in her back and muscles?
She has to stay away from foods that have vitimin K because of taking
warfarin for her blood. That leaves out a lot of green veggies.
She uses the duragesic patch and the usual collection of depression
meds. She is also taking heart meds.
Answer:
Be careful. What works for one doesn't necessarily work
for the next. I suggest checking out the book "Foods That Fight Pain"
by Barnard.
Also, there are several 'fibromyalgia diets' out there that address other
things as well. Such as http://www.ctds.info/fibromyalgia-diet.html
http://www.immunesupport.com/library/showarticle.cfm/ID/3425
http://www.curezone.com/dis/1.asp?C0=147

Problem is, what causes the fibro in the first place? If some of the
co-existant conditions can be addressed, the body's fibro response
may be lessened.
