Question:
Have had CFS since 1986. FMS diagnosed 2 years ago.
Been on medication for depression since 1989.
Recently diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis.
Started physical therapy several weeks ago. I find that
certain exercises make the pain MUCH worse.
Medication:
Naproxen 375 mg 2 x a day for headache, neck, arm, back, leg pain
Axid 300mg 2 x daily for d. ulcer
Cytotec 200mcg 4 x daily for d. ulcer
Ultram 50 mg l/2 tab 4 xdaily for pain
Carisoprodol 350 2 x daily for muscle spasms and sleep
Perphenazine 2 mg 2x daily for anxiety
Metoprolol 25 mg daily for blood pressure
Lorazepam .5mg 3 x daily and 1mg for sleep at night
Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I missed the bit about RA in my first reply. Maybe Dr. Nye could comment
about RA/fms in combination.
Depression is a common symptom of fibromyalgia. Often treating the fms
gets rid of the depression.
Don't do the exercises that make your pain worse. Exercise for fms just
needs to get you aerobic, it doesn't matter what muscles are used.
