We thought he was having a heart attack. After several test encluding a heart Cath. heart disease was ruled out.He also has Crohn's Disease and arthritis caused from the crohn's . The doctor says he also has fibromyalgia. We do not think this pain is due to the fibro.Could you tell me how your chest pain feels. He walks the floor every night in pain. They even have gave him nerve blocks but only helps for a week or two.If any one can help please e-mail me.

Answer:
People with FMS frequently develope Myofascial Trigger Points in the muscles where toxins and fascia lump up and refer pain outward. The area you describe in the upper left chest to the left of the sternum between the ribs, (mine is about the 3rd & 4th ribs), is possibly a Myofascial Trigger Point. When flared up does it go straight through the chest to a corresponding pain in the back? If the Md has ruled out heart, and gallbladder, then you might seek help of a PT for the Myofascial trigger problem. They can help in several different ways. It is not fatal, but it hurts like it some times
