Question:
I have been dealing with all three of
these actively since 1982. I have been on medication for the Mental Issue for a
while and have had very good results, for this I must always keep a headsup!
I have been through a pain-management program, many surgeries, due to
Degenerative Discogenic Disease. I have undergone many injections via my
Rheumatologist. The list goes on. I also have of course the sleep problem
which is a double whammy from the FMS and the Bi-polar symptoms. I must take
medication for the sleep or I don't
sleep at all!!! I fight with each Doctor about the pain medications and I am
now in the process of trying to research a health-care team of many individuals
to try to utilize many methods that I have read about and have also found for
guidance in the book by Devin Starlanyl,M.D.,"The Fibromyalgia Advocate" I have
to be a manager of my own health problems. You see as is typical I don't look
ill, and I am healthy otherwise, but the mental and emotional and physical toll
these diseases take on my body as a whole are exhausting and always at the
forefront of my mind-as the pain and depression of the illnesses alone is such
a worrisome thing. I am not a whiner, I try to fight the good fight and I have
a wonderful Husband who understands and my adult children are somewhat
understanding, they just can't bear to watch their once vibrant and super over
achiever Mom be ill. I do need some support and wish to support others who
suffer from any of the problems I have discussed in my letter.
